As an essential part of UMS-ReS3, panel members play a critical role in ensuring that the symposium achieves its primary objective
of
monitoring research progress. Each presentation represents the hard work of postgraduate students and research grant recipients,
and your evaluation will help ensure that these projects remain on track, aligned with their intended objectives, and positioned for meaningful outcomes.
Panels are encouraged to provide constructive and supportive feedback, focusing not only on the strengths of the research presented but also on areas that may
benefit from further refinement. Your comments should guide presenters in strengthening their methodologies,
clarifying their findings, and
preparing their work for eventual publication.
To ensure fairness and consistency, panel members are asked to:
- Evaluate presentations according to the standard criteria for research grant progress monitoring.
- Balance critical assessment with encouragement, recognizing the different stages of research progress.
- Offer specific suggestions that can be acted upon by the presenters.
By sharing your expertise, you contribute not only to the academic growth of individual researchers but also to the overall research excellence
of Universiti Malaysia Sabah. Your role is central in helping presenters transform their progress into impactful outcomes
that reflect the university’s commitment to high-quality research.
